Changelog

New features, improvements and fixes for SWISS-SDR, OpenWebRX Switzerland and KiwiSDR Switzerland.

Current version 1.0.0
  1. Version 1.0.0As of

The Swiss SDR network with central analytics

Version 1.0.0 brings the three portals together with receiver search, live listening, guides and tools for operators and editors. It also includes central analytics, refreshed mobile administration, a persistent contact inbox and updated platform documentation. Custom receiver ports and automatically generated URL names make registration easier.

    Added

    • OpenWebRX, OpenWebRX+, KiwiSDR and Web-888 receivers with frequency, platform, location and status search, plus a shared map.
    • Visible online/offline status, status history and maintenance notices; access and occupancy information appears where the receiver provides suitable data.
    • Location profiles with pictures and project stories, location subscriptions and an embeddable location display for other websites.
    • Live listening with start and stop on the homepages, favorites, receiver comparison and personal listening bookmarks with frequency and mode.
    • Illustrated platform guides in four languages, listing and ownership requests, receiver templates and shared management through location teams.
    • A public changelog with dated updates and a version display in the footer of all three portals.
    • Public platform documentation with seven chapters, a table of contents, feature links and illustrated examples in dark mode in DE/FR/IT/EN. The texts are grouped in content management.
    • Contact inbox with search, categories, status filters, internal notes and handling history. Resolved and archived enquiries can be reopened.
    • New contact enquiries queue a notification to info@swiss-sdr.ch. The existing worker handles delivery status and retries after failures.
    • Central dashboard with live presence, period and portal filters, historical reports, SDR listing views and separate receiver-opening clicks.
    • Twelve modules independently disabled, restricted to administrators or made public per portal; configurable titles, presentation, order and placement with preview.
    • Separate optional statistics consent, minimal collection, retention limits and protected public aggregates. New collection remains disabled by default.

    Improved

    • Reworked homepages, headers and mobile layouts with distinct portal images, clear listening entry points and better placement of community links.
    • Homepage receivers and their order can be selected separately for each portal. Newly published receivers can also appear automatically.
    • Expanded user administration and bulk actions, grouped DE/FR/IT/EN content, editorial history, scheduled publishing, multiple image uploads and image framing controls.
    • Updated page titles, descriptions, language links and favicons. Legal information and cookie settings adapted to the expanded features.
    • “Add a receiver” is visible on homepages, in the directory and menu. The footer and documentation heading have no extra listing button. Signing in opens the listing form directly.
    • The About page introduces Ajdin HB3YAQ and Dani HB9HEH using current information from their official websites, with linked sources.
    • The explicit content updater adds the documentation and replaces unchanged standard biographies while preserving custom text and drafts. Previous versions are retained in content history.
    • Task-based navigation, larger controls, readable forms and a step selector in the mobile receiver wizard.
    • Expandable additional actions and homepage placement in receiver lists; bulk actions appear after selection. Desktop overviews make better use of available space.
    • Analytics interface and administrator documentation in DE/FR/IT/EN for mobile and desktop.
    • First-party statistics added to the privacy statement and storage overview, including configured retention periods. Existing legal text preserved.
    • Administration and platform documentation explain the port policy and automatic URL names in all four languages.

    Fixed

    • Corrected unnecessary portal changes while reading public information and the simultaneous highlighting of two header menus.
    • Fixed an occasional display error during page startup and the destination routing of merged receiver listings.
    • Processed contact enquiries remain accessible. Existing messages and earlier resolution notes survive the update. Concurrent changes are detected.
    • The compact popular badge sits inside the receiver image at the bottom right. The image type label keeps its original bottom-left position. In narrow list images, the badge sits on the right above the label to keep both readable. Receiver detail pages remain unchanged.
    • Categories in the expanded mobile section menu stay compact and aligned at the top. Phones use a single column, and long labels wrap without overflowing.
    • HTTP/HTTPS addresses support ports from 1 to 65535 without separate approval. Protections for automatic external requests remain in place.
    • Empty URL names are generated from the receiver name. Valid custom URL names are preserved; invalid entries receive clear explanations in the wizard.
    • Updated Next.js to 16.4.2 with security fixes; the platform version remains 1.0.0.

    Changed

    • Removed former German page addresses and old account and administration paths. Current English paths remain available; retired addresses return 404.
    • Registration and user login are enabled by default for new installations. Existing switches remain independently manageable; both can be explicitly enabled for the public launch.
    • Platform documentation updated in DE/FR/IT/EN: internal analytics setup, preview, approval and placement of public live modules, and consent withdrawal. Explicitly run the contact and analytics migrations when updating; custom editorial text is preserved.
    • Compatible analytics migration 20261019_020000; backup/restore safeguards and operating documentation. Security updates for Payload and affected transitive dependencies.
